Race of our life

We always keep talking about who won and who took the first place etc. etc...
But if we look at our life in depth, it is an ongoing race from the day we are born. Race against time, race against disease, race against this and race against that. We keep running, but the race does not stop. We cannot really claim that we have won the race or lost the race until the end. The end of the race is when we are actually leaving this world and moving on...
That is when we can really say whether we won the race of our lifetime, whether we made a difference, whether we won our ticket to a better world of reaching God...
So friends, run the race wanting to win at the end. Do not claim victories until the end.
I was told this by a friend when my mom died. I wanted to share this with everyone. Let me end with a Greek Proverb:
Either remain quiet, or say things that improve the silence.
