Parenting.... how tough can it be?

The central struggle of parenthood is to let our hopes for our children outweigh our fears.
Ellen Goodman American journalist (1941 - )

One of my good friends was telling me that parenting is very difficult. The way he explained it was very hilarious. When we buy any device we always get a multilingual manual to help us figure out how to make it work. However, when God gave us our children, they did not come with a manual. The OBGYN doctor just gave the baby in our hands and said, "Good Luck"....

I pondered over this a lot and then it struck to me, that God also gave us few other things
1. He gave a life time warranty
2. He stayed with us fulltime as "in house tech support" to guide us and troubleshoot.

So whenever you feel lost, remember that the in house tech support is available 24/7!!!

More to come, Dream a lot, think creative, work hard and Succeed...

I have heard my Grandmother say these things so mny times, that we don't receive a manual on how to raise our children. One of the most important things that I have learned in raising six of them is that they are all different, distinct personalities and they come here with a personality already built in. Build upon it, don't try to change it. I have told my children who are becoming parents for the first time, "Never forget your growing-up experiences and the feelings you had while experiencing different things. This will help you when you encounter situations with your own children. You can see things through their eyes a bit clearer then."
I am not perfect. I still make mistakes and I am still raising one last child. I pray that my children will all know the love I bear for each one of them and their uniqueness and the joy they have brought into my life.
